Day Training- 5-Week Basic Obedience and Manners course
We provide basic obedience training (such as leash training, manners, walking properly, basic commands and more) in a five-week class where you drop your dog off at our center for an entire day once per week for five consecutive weeks.
We cover the exercises at the end of the day, with you, so you have the skills to transform your dog’s behavior. This hybrid approach combines our professional instruction with your involvement to set your dog up for long-term success and lasting results.
Day Training- 5-Week Advanced Obedience Course
We also provide more advanced obedience training, behavioral training, and much more! Our advanced course is completely customizable. This means, we focus on what you value most. Whether it’s off leash freedom or a specialty task, we can help!
Private Lessons
Private lessons offer personalized attention to your specific goals and behavioral concerns with your dog. While also offering flexibility to your schedule. Private lessons are offered at our facility and are one hour long.
Group Classes
Group classes are great for when you want to take your dog’s obedience to the next level with added distractions to prepare them for the real world. Our classes are five weeks long, meeting once a week for one hour. Class size is small so that we can offer you a comfortable setting and individual attention for you and your dog.
Puppy 101 Group Class
This class is for puppies 15 weeks to six months of age. We will cover beginning basic obedience, manners and how to address common puppy problems.
Intermediate Obedience Group Class
This class is for dogs six months and older. In this class, we will advance your dog’s basic obedience, proof behavior and add distractions. Dogs must have some knowledge of leash walking, come when called, sit and down for this class. They do not need to be perfect at these skills. We will help you progress from the level that you are with your dog. This class is not appropriate for dog reactivity. We can help you through private lessons or our five week day training program for more intense behavior or to begin teaching basic obedience.
Day Training: Our five-week course is an investment of $400.
Private Lessons: $80 per one hour visit
Group Classes: $250 for a five-week class
We offer competitive rates and satisfied owners with happy dogs!
Training treats (small pea sized treats) and a treat pouch are recommended so that you can have two free hands when working with your dog. Snake River Animal Shelter often has low-cost treat pouches for sale!
We will discuss appropriate training collars for your dog once we have assessed your dog’s temperament and discussed your goals.
You will need a six-foot leash that has good grip. We recommend leather or biothane material. You will also need a 15 to 20-foot-long line for recall training and for distance work.
We require current DHPP, Rabies and Bordetella vaccines that have been administered by a veterinarian. These are all available at affordable rates at Snake River Animal Shelter. Please email vaccination records to directoridk9@gmail.com .
